Catherine Scott

Catherine Scott is a retired Jamaican sprinter and Olympic silver medalist, part of the Jamaican 4x400m relay team that won silver at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Primarily a 400m hurdles runner, Scott earned most of her senior international accolades as part of relay teams. She won a gold medal in the 4x400m at the 2001 World Championships and a silver at the 2001 World Indoor Championships. A standout junior athlete, Scott earned three medals at the 1989 CARIFTA Games, including gold in the 100m and 400m. She also claimed three gold medals at the 1990 U20 CARIFTA Games in the 400m, 4x100m, and 4x400m relays. Her early success laid the foundation for a successful international career, cementing her place in Jamaican track and field history.
