Gillian Russell

Gillian Russell is a retired Jamaican sprinter who won a bronze medal in the 4x100m relay at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. A talented hurdler, she excelled in the 110m hurdles and contributed to Jamaica's success as part of the 4x100m relay team. Russell was a standout junior athlete, winning numerous gold medals at the CARIFTA Games (U17 and U20), CAC Junior Championships, and the World Junior Championships. Her impressive collegiate career led to her induction into the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame in 2005. Russell's contributions to Jamaican track and field, have solidified her legacy as one of Jamaica's top athletes.
