Howard Burnett

Howard Burnett is a retired Jamaican sprinter and Olympic silver medalist, earning the honor as part of Jamaica's 4x400m relay team at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. In 1990, he won a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games and a silver at the Goodwill Games, both in the 4x400m relay. A year later, he earned a bronze medal at the 1991 Pan American Games in the same event. Burnett, who competed for New York Tech, was inducted into the Division II Track and Field Hall of Fame in 2001. Remarkably, he did not compete as a junior athlete, yet achieved remarkable success on the international stage. His accomplishments remain a testament to his talent and perseverance.
