Michael Blackwood

Michael Blackwood, a Jamaican 4x400m Olympic silver medalist, earned his medal at the 2000 Sydney Games. A world-class 400m sprinter, Blackwood was ranked world number one by the IAAF in 2002 and named Jamaica's Sportsman of the Year that same year. He earned four World Championships medals, including two silver in the 4x400m (2001, 2003) and a bronze in the 400m (2003) and 4x400m (2005). In addition to his World Championship success, he claimed gold in the 400m at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester and won three World Indoor Championships 4x400m relay medals. Known for his consistency, Blackwood's achievements have solidified his place as one of Jamaica’s premier sprinters.
